Challenged
I have only been at ESBC for three weeks. I have been blessed. I have been challenged. I’m in a position of having the opportunity to rethink everything I / we know about church.
This morning I was confronted with a question. What is currently impossible to do at Emmanuel but if it COULD be done it would totally change our church? What is the wall that we have hit? If we could just answer ONE question or solve this ONE problem it would be a total game changer? What is the breakthrough that we are looking for? It seems that sometimes it is easy to become so isolated in the current structure that we stop asking this question. Maybe all this is confusing and we make the question real. What would it take for families to REALLY be impacted by love in Coweta, Broken Arrow, and Tulsa? What changes need to happen on Sunday mornings for us to really be in AWE? Wouldn’t that be an environment where people who are not Christ followers would be completely drawn in?
Maybe I’m doing WAY too much reThinking. It would seem that until we really have a paradigm shift these will remain questions. We have to move beyond the dialogue and together–move to action.

Without re-thinking there wouldn’t be growth. why doubt it? besides i hear you have an awesome intern coming to help ya out
